New Players Guide 2020 - CSR Racing 2

CSR Racing 2 by NaturalMotionGames Ltd

We have been around in CSR Racing 2 since the start. And one of the reasons for our success is the knowledge we’ve gained and shared with our Crew members Season after Season.
There is a basic set of knowledge that we feel everyone who picks up this game should know. And we thought we would share that with the CSR 2 Community! This counts for every type of player, totally beginner or advanced player. Please feel free to share this information for CSR Racing 2 in 2020. We just hope it helps a whole lot of racers improve their earnings and the quality of their garages!

CSR Racing 2 – New Players Guide 2020

Buy the mustang boss for T1. If you chose something else, it’s not that big of a problem. Keep grinding (racing back to back) until you upgraded everything to stage 5, and added some fusion.

Search for “boss times”, It will show you what times you need to run to win boss cars.

Win KJ’s GT86. It’s good enough to beat the first few crew battle races in T2, which would unlock Legends. Do the legends races that give you the Ferrari 250 GTO, restore it, and use that as your go-to T2 car for the time being. Well built, it should be able to beat the T2 boss, giving you her Mercedes (which will be a T3 car, good enough for the first few ladder races).

For T3, check if there are any promotions that give you the 2-star Mustang or M4 on CSR’s Instagram channel. If so, claim those. Preferably the M4. If none are available, buy the M4, and beat the boss.

For T4, buy the GTR R35, for T5, the Huracan.

With every boss car you win, do the ladder races as far as you can, those earn you money.

Don’t invest any unneccessary money and fusions/S6 onto 0 star cars, meaning that you should only build them so that you can win the boss cars with confidence. For tempest, don’t use 0-star cars.

Tempest is the continuation of the original storyline. New bosses, new cars, new race modes. For each tempest iteration, you’ll need to get a license. To do so, you’ll need to pay some money, and you’ll have to elite a car in each tier. The cars you use in the time trials will become elite, get a 10% RP boost, BUT you won’t be able to use them in any tempests, and you can’t use them in further time trials, either.

Now onto the crews, cups, and such.

Try to get into a milestone crew as soon as possible, to get the free car. Milestone crews mostly use discord/line apps to communicate and most have an RP requirement of 700k every season. A season lasts 2 weeks, starting and ending every 2nd Thursday 10AM GMT.

Find a suitable crew for you.

There are various cups and trials in a season through which you can earn crew RP. Most important is the prestige cup. You can get the car needed for the Prestige cup using silver keys. There is a different chance of getting the prestige car every season, as the rarity is always different. However, once you open 15 silver crates, you will get the car as loyalty reward. Because of this, you should aim to have 750 silver keys every season.

Bronze keys are also important, as you can open parts crates for every free event car with them.

Live racing is the most important way to get keys. They are in sets of 15 races. Race 1 awards 20 bronze, race 3 awards 30 bronze, race 8 awards 100 bronze, race 15 awards 10 silver. You can live race as much as you want, but these 15 race sets reset every 8 hours (counter starts as soon as you win the first of the 15 races). So, if you take it really seriously, start the first live race right after you wake up, and finish the last 15 before you go to sleep).

Before you ask a question in this subreddit, use the search bar. If the question comes into your mind, there is a chance it came to other people’s minds, too. This way you’ll not be the 100th person to ask the same question, and you’ll also get your answers a lot faster.

The game is free to play, but there are lots of microtransactions. If you wish to spend a ton of money, feel free to do so, you can also get to a high level without spending any, and you may just go for the occasional good deals (the only REALLY good deals are those involving gold keys).

For every car, there are different tunes and shift patterns. You can find these on youtube, search for “CSR2 shift pattern car name”.

That’s all we can think of at the moment.
