In Pokémon Go you will soon have the chance to connect with your favorite Pokémon. The next update 0.37.0 Android or iOS 1.7.0 for the AR-app from Niantic brings you the buddy system. With that you can have a companion aside and receive depending on the size and egg category extra candy for your Pokémon. We show you on this page, what you can expect from the Buddy System update.
From the source code of Pokémon Go an indication of the existence of a buddy system was found already by AeonLucid’s PogoProtos. Now this is officially and the functions are also published. The buddy system you can search for extra sweets for your companion. He will accompany you on your steps and you can look forward on it, now to roam the neighborhood together with a freely-selectable companion from your Pokédex.
Pokémon Go – buddy system brings special rewards
If you have decided yourself for a companion, you can get as a reward additional sweets for for this type of Pokemon. So this is especially recommended if you play mainly in an area, at which you rarely meet your favorite Pokémon. So you can have your favorites often send in the arena and must not use stardust and sweets to keep it competitive.
Decisive for the amount of candy is the distance traveled. After 1 to 5 kilometers you will get your amount of candy and this is related to the Pokémon eggs. Depending on which category your companion is part of (2 km, 5 km, 10 km), it takes a little longer, until you get the reward.

Especially the players, who have little time to look at many different locations for Pokémon, are represented by the small bonuses here and there find a good support. The starter Pokémon are found relatively infrequently, so you can certainly pick out a few more training session for your starter by the buddy system in this area.
